Sleeping with her pal, "Dakota"

Heidi loves her Tiger when she sleeps with mommy on the recliner. Daddy bought her the tiger during her first trip to the zoo in Bismarck and she loves it! Sometimes when she's upset, we will give her the tiger and she hugs it and sometimes chews on it's ears and she settles down. It's almost like her security blanket now. Even Pam says, she can't believe how much she likes it. We better not loose the tiger we have now named "Dakota."

I forgot to post this picture. I thougtht it was so funny and cute.

Here's some babbles and giggles from Heidi. Grandma was having fun tickling heidi. The video is a little dark at first but I turned on some lights to help to see the video better. Enjoy!

Nice Relaxing Weekend.

The moment grandma and grandpa arrived and picked up Heidi, daddy and I needed to release some energy and beat-up each other. It was fun.
Peek-a-boo!
I woke up to find Daddy & Heidi watching the sports channel and had old clips from girls sand volleyball during the Olympics. (I'm sure daddy was watching for different reasons.)
Duck pool! "I'll get that frog sooner or later!"
Grandpa & Daddy taste testing daddy's first brew.
I love this picture. We thought she might want another bottle so I made her one and then had it ready for grandma to give her. Looks like she passed out from the effort of trying to reach for it. (She actually fell asleep as soon as I came back with a bottle, we didn't tease her.)
So happy!
Heidi loves her plastic filled duck pool. Plastic screen on top so she can just play around without getting wet. She likes to try to grab the toys inside.
Heidi and Gingham taking some time to chat together.
Visiting daddy's new work building.
Visiting Daddy at work.
Heidi loves to suck her thumb only at night to sleep or take a nap.
Daddy learning how to play the guitar. Notice the crowd differance from the pictures below?
The music stopped!
Grandma and Heidi enjoying the music at the BBQ.

Toe time or feet playing time with grandma.
Grandma & Heidi having fun with toe-time. Toes to the mouth are so funny!

We had a nice weekend. Grandpa and Grandma Gross came to visit for the weekend and it was so nice to see them again. Heidi had so much fun with them. She was sure laughing alot and she had a busy weekend with everyone. We had a nice BBQ we went to on saturday to visit with some daddy's co-workers and summer interns this year. Grandpa and daddy were singing some songs with Rapheal who plays the guitar. Rapheal and his wife hosted the party and he plays the guitar and had some music going most of the time. Heidi loved to watch and hear all the music.

I had to work on saturday most of the afternoon to the evening because I had a big group coming into the hotel and I had to be there. But it was so great to go home to family and then relax. Grandma and I went shopping to find some new clearance items to help make room for the stores fall stuff coming in. :) I can't wait for the kids pools and outdoor summer things to go on clearance for Heidi next year. She will want to be outside all the time in the pool or playing so I can't wait to bargin shop for her for next year. We also relaxed on Sunday and didn't do much. Brian and I should have had our own collection basket during church for how many times people stopped us and said how precious or cute Heidi is and how we are such a beautiful family. So many nice people around here. I think I will bring Heidi's piggy bank to church next with a note taped on this side reading "Cute comments for a $1." or "To cute to comment for free, only .25 cents. "

Brian and I went to look at Rob & Sarah's house this weekend. They are currently renting it but will buy it later on. We also looked at a house 2 homes away from them and we are excited about it. The basement is not done yet and some of the yard still needs to be finished. The first two pictures are the inside of rob's house, then the picture of the house from the outside is our home we looked at. The inside pictures of rob's home is very similiar to what our house would look like but only in maple wood, not cherry wood. The house is in a new sub-division and it's a very quiet area. There is a very large potato farm not far behind our home's so, there won't be anyone behind us anytime soon. The subdivision, is also looking into building a big park area and we would also be within walking distance to the zoo. If you look out of our living room window and our front patio or our back deck, you can see the mountains and foothills. It would look so gorgeous in the winter. The house currently has 3 bedrooms upstairs and then if we finish the basement, there could be another 2 or 3 downstairs with another bathroom. We are still waiting to hear from our bank to see what our mortgage payments will be. I'm so excited and this house is at a really good price for it not even being a year old. The builder said he is very motivated to get it sold and we I think we could talk them down to a lower price. I hope we hear from our bnk soon.
This weekend, Brian, Heidi and I went to the zoo to get out to walk a little. Heidi did so well. We finally saw the penguins playing and then the otters this time were sleeping. We had some nice weather all weekend and we haven't been doing much of anything. All three of us are just relaxing and being couch potato's most of the time. It feels nice to take it easy. Heidi is cooing more and more lately. She loves to be up all afternoon if she can. She really fights falling asleep when she knows she's tired. She loves to look around and try to talk. She still does great with her nights. She knows when it's bedtime when she gets her bath each night. She sleeps through the night more often and maybe 3 times during the week she will wake up once in the middle of the night. She is doing so well and she's getting cuter and cuter each day.

My First 4th of July.

Fireworks from the hotel window.

Heidi's first 4th of July was fun. I had to work most of the morning to mid afternoon but I was able to enjoy a nice walk with everyone along the falls to take advantage of the food vendors, later in the day. I was able to get a hotel room at my hotel for the night so our friends could come over to enjoy the view. The fireworks take off just a few feet from the end of the hotel parking lot. So, we are just right under the fireworks to watch. What a view! During the day, before the fireworks show, the hotel's restaurant had a big BBQ and a live band most of the day. It was a great evening to just relax and not worry about anything else. I was working all week without a day off and then working on saturday also; this week was a very long week for me. The weather was perfect all day and Heidi did so well. I think she enjoyed getting outside all day for some fresh air. Although, when the fireworks started, she got scared because they were so loud. Her eyes were so big and she started to cry. So I packed her up and brought inside. She was crying the on the way back into the hotel. By the time I got her rested on the bed, she was happy and trying to giggle again. I started to feed her another bottle and we sat in a recliner while watching the fireworks from our room. It was still nice. Today she is a little fussy though, because she slept so much yesturday walking around and I think it too long of a day and night for her. But, it was fun and relaxing for everyone.
