Heidi's room and other pics.

Looking to the foothills from the guestroom window.
Heidi's fun closet. By the way mom and dad, I need more wire baskets.

Moons and stars all over.
I like the moons and stars dancing over the window. I bought some honey oak wood blinds that look great in her room. I'm so jealous of her room. I want to sleep in it. Spoiled already.

Sitting on the porch playing and watching some pretty storms clouds coming in last week.

Top 10 Fun and entertaining things of being a new mommy so far.

1. Afternoon naps can't come closer some days. For example; I put Heidi in her crib to take a nap and I was beyond tired that I almost felt like I was sleep walking all day. I had a feeling that I can't make it to the end of the hall to my bed and, as I was gazeing down at the floor below Heidi's crib; I saw all her stuffed animals she was playing with. I started to clean up her toys so not to step on them later but then 40 minutes later, Brian comes into the room and wakes me up and finding me useing the purple platypus stuffed animal as a pillow. I heard him giggling and then all I remember is him saying something. Then Heidi wakes up 10 minutes later and Brian is gone. Oh, he said he was going to class. I swear it was saturday but it's actually monday.

2. Making farting noises to baby when she is upset makes her happy.

3. Keep singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Itsy Bitsy Spider to keep baby happy eventhough you sang it 50 times already and it's putting you asleep.

4. "So BIG!" Anything with lots of hand movements, keep going with it eventhough your arms are about to fall off.

5. No matter how cute she is when she takes a bath, don't give her a kiss. You will get splashed in the eye or hit in the eye.

6. Doesn't matter how long you let baby stay in the tub to play; baby will still get mad that it's over and has to get dressed. So, back to singing and waving the arms to cheer baby up.

7. Naptime for baby is never nap time for mommy. This is "time off" as daddy calls it for mommy to get the dishes done, laundry, vacumming, sweeping, dusting, supper, picking up toys, & telling the husband to get off the computer from playing games. Did I miss anything?

8. When baby is quiet and then suddenly happy and has the look of "guess what??" Then you know it's going to be a messy one. If you know what I mean by a messy "one".

9. Keyboards are a fun game. Let baby hit the keyboard on the computer to let off some steam. She loves it.

10. Heidi loves to chase the kitty around the house. She can't crawl yet so I hold her and we follow Victoria around the house. Victoria is a little slow so it's easier to chase her to keep up. Heidi saw kitty today walk past her and she busted out laughing and screaming. She loves the cats. Heidi loves to pull and pet the kitty and victoria doesn't mind most of the time.

House Warming party

Playing with Roly Poly Penguin.
Few friends showing up for the house party.
Aiming for Rob.
Heidi enjoyed kicking Rob (with daddy's help.)

Over the weekend we had a double house warming party. Everyone came over to our house around 5pm to give me plenty of time after work to get the dinner ready and then drinks over at Rob's house next door. It worked out well because Heidi was able to go to bed at a decent time and not get off her schedule. The party was fun and we met a new couple that just moved to town. Her husband is also going to graduate in december in Nuclear Engineering so we talked most of the night. Everyone brought some goodies which was nice. Our friend Jay brought brian part of a Ruhbarb plant and now he's excited of where to plant it before our snow this week! Yes, we are suppose to have snow on wednesday or thursday. Today the high is in the 80's and then the high on wednesday is suppose to be 45. Brrrr. I think we might have a early winter.

Heidi notices Victoria more now. Heidi loves it when I hold her to chase victoria around the house and Heidi giggles so loud. Victoria has been really good and lets Heidi grab her fur and pet her. When Victoria rolls over, Heidi laughs, kicks, and screams. She sure loves the cats already.

Daddy and Heidi play the game of daddy pretending Heidi is a bar-bell. Ha ha. Heidi loves it. Daddy counts and lifts Heidi in the air, and she usually faces him, but this picture they were watching football while playing.
Mom and dad's room is always more comfortable. Plus our room was more dark and cool during the day to take a nap in until we put in shades in her room.
Diaper box. Heidi was really interested in the box. She kept getting upset when I would push it away because she wanted to touch it and play with the flaps. So I decided to just put her in it. She liked it for a little bit, but then it got boring pretty fast.

I feel like I haven't posted anything for a long time. How time flys with a baby now. Heidi had a tough friday. I think she's teething more now and they bother her more. Brian went to walgreens at midnight because she just couldn't sleep and then we gave her some gel for her gums. She was crying all night and I think she was getting an upset stomach from all the crying and getting herself worked up so much. Poor baby. I just want to cry for her because she's always very happy and harldy ever cries. If she does cry I almost worry because she's always laughing and does her scream playing. It's so adorable.
Heidi's teething only bothers her once in awhile it's not every night. Thank god. She was up until at least 2am on friday. I would never make it into work every morning.
This weekend I got a lot of things done around the house. I couldn't believe it. I had it all mapped out. Watch Heidi this at this time.........nap time, do this and this.......Heidi wakes up....Play a little with Heidi.......Give heidi bottle, and while she's eating, work on this.......etc.
It was a little entertaining. When Brian needed to show me something, I really had no time to stop while heidi is sleeping. Keep going to get it done, don't stop now or it will never get done. Well, not much else going on here. We are starting to get into freeze warning's for the low temps at night. So fall is already here. I can't believe it. I can't wait to get heidi a halloween outfit. There's a pumpkin patch here I found and I would like to go there to take some family photos with her outfit on. We'll see.
Heidi is working on some solid foods. I need to be more consistant with her on it. We only try it once in awhile and it just doesn't work. So I think this week I want to try everynight and see if it gets better. I am trying some rice cereal mixed with formula and some banana puree. I know it's a slow process so we will just keep working on it.

Having Fun while staying busy!

Oh nooo, busted!
"Grandpa has to reach the pedal's for me and I can steer."

Peek a Boo!

This is the view of the sunset's lately from our backyard. You can see the mountains in the horizon. Such gorgeous nights. Glass of wine , fire, and the mountains in my yard. Wow. So relaxing.

No Refunds!

Cute photo op moment.

Helping Auntie pick Chokecherry's.

I think Cordelia likes Grandma's flowers.

We traded for the day. :)

"There once a girl named Heidi and she got all the ice cream she wanted and lived happily ever after. The End." Torii loved telling Heidi that story when she was upset.

"I Love my feet!"

Victoria checking out the new place on the outside. (she found the neighbor's beagle.)

Sorry, pictures were taken at night. (Heidi was sleeping, goodtime to take a few while she's out. I've been forgetting to take some more during the day.)

WELCOME-Come on in!!!

Master bedroom walk in closet. (all the closet's in the bedrooms have built in shelving which is nice to have.)

Sweet, Sweet jetted tub. I loooove it. Aaaaah, so relaxing.

Master bath.

Our bedroom that has neat vaulted type ceiling. I love the look of it.

Hallway back to Heidi's room and the guestroom. (these rooms look out to the front of the house).

Nice big island counter top.

Our or my new fun kitchen!! I love it.

Heading downstairs........

Partial walls for a bigger guestroom downstairs.

Partial wall up for a possible bedroom.

(Looking into what would be the living room downstairs. It's a little bigger; it also has a small space to the right on the far back so it goes in a little more in the picture above. I think it would make a great theatre room later.)

I finally get the moment to just sit and relax. We have been so busy with moving and we are still not done. We only have about one car load left from the townhome and then cleaning left to do. We have the 10th to be out, but we will make it. Our sitter has been so wonderful to take Heidi while we were moving most of our things. Less stress for little Heidi and all is well for everyone. I don't think it has even fased Heidi at all. She just likes to look around a little and as long as she has her toys she reconizes then, life is good. Heidi has been great. She sure loves to talk. She's been doing some screaming and laughing at the same time and it's so funny! I was laughing so hard yesturday when she had her small tiger and she was whipping it around and then looking at it and cooing and laughing, as if she was having a conversation with it. There was no way I could find our camera in time with all our stuff scattered but it was the funniest thing ever.

This week is the state fair and it was such a blast last year that we really want to go but we have so much to do that I think we will miss it. It's only a 30 minute drive but we have so much to get done. Oh well, I think it would more fun when Heidi gets bigger anyway.

Today Brian used the brush mower to knock out our weeds that were up to our knees. They were crazy! Our yard looks so much better. While he was doing the mowing, I tended to Heidi then when she slept, I came outside for a little bit to rake the weeds together to get ready to haul out. Busy busy. We did take a break and went to the farmer's market and we had to see one vendor who has a tree farm and sells some trees at the market once in awhile. He happened to be there this weekend and so we bought three trees from him. We planted two Sugar Maple trees in the front yard and then we still have yet to plant my apple tree. I thought we should at least get a apple tree as soon as possible so, by the time Heidi is running around the yard, we may have some apples she can pick. Maybe she'll be like aunt Laurie and run in the house with the one apple and say "look, we got an apple!" Then I reply just like grandpa and say "that's great, now put it back." Ha ha! I love that story. We also thought about getting a peach tree we saw that looked very healthy but I think we will wait for next year on that one. I don't know about so many fruit trees, because of bugs that love them so much, they may be hard to take care of. We'll see. But next year I really want to get some chokecherry trees and I now have permission for some lilac bushes! So many plans for everything.

Well that's about all I can write for now. I'm so tired and it's getting late. I better get to bed. I'll write again soon, I hope. And I'll try to get more pictures with Heidi's rooms finished and the guestroom. We miss you all!!!
