What a fun weekend!

Heidi likes Sean Connery. Who doesn't?

A car for Heidi. ;) Fire Fighter's challenge all from area city's.

Fire Fighters had to start the race up a staircase carrying a hose to the top and then a few other challenges when they reach the bottom, like use the hose, carry a dummy as if they were rescueing someone and hammering on something. They really work themselves to the bone. One fire fighter fell over from being so tired at the end and they rest of the guys came to help him up. These guys really need to be in shape for what they do. Before everything started they played "Scotland the brave" to honor a fallen fire fighter recently. Everyone in the park seemed to come to a halt and took off their hats and waited for the song to end and then anthem. It was quite the show and a very well dressed and nice band.

Giant Duck.

Daddy and Heidi having fun together.

Helicopter dropping duck eggs (white pin pon balls) down on the crowd for any kids 10yrs or younger can grab a "duck egg" and if it says prize on it, you can redeem it for a small prize.
Heidi loved to play "peek a boo" all day with Dakota.
All the ducks together in a large bin waiting to be dumped.

Patiently waiting for all the ducks.

Following the ducks down the river to the drop over the falls.

Taking a break in the shade.

(the end of the day......finally!! Zzzzzzzz)

Today Heidi had a big day. We started our day around 10 am and didn't get home until 8pm. We were at the falls downtown most of the day to take part of the events this weekend. We missed the speed boat race, but we did see the car show, farmer's market, vendors, and the fire fighter's challenge. Brian and I had hotdogs, nachos and some snacks while Heidi took a nap and we found a few people we knew during our outing. It was nice to know a few people around and we could stop and talk to them. It felt like...well...home. The ducks were dropped at 4pm for the last event and it was fun to it again this year. Everything that was going on all day is mostly for the kids but it was still fun. I can't wait for her to get a little bigger so she can have a little more fun and I can spoil her with funnel cake and toys.

A neat event was the fire fighters challenge. Area fire fighters will compete in "the best of the best," challenges and which ever city or division of fire fighter group wins, they get a prize that I don't remember what they got. They also had a lot of kid related fire fighter things to do and the kids just loved that!

We haven't heard if we won anything with any of the ducks we adopted. We had 3 adopted ducks for each of us in our family. All the money for the duck race goes back to the park around the river to keep up the grounds and for any new improvements so, it went to a good cause because the city does a nice job to keep the park looking good.

Now that we have finished our day, I think we are going to relax the rest of the night and watch another James Bond movie. Heidi also likes James Bond or at least Sean Connery. She was fussing when she was playing on the floor and then she started her "I'm going to try to turn over and talk a lot while I'm moving." She was giggling and kept watching the movie. I thought it was cute so I took a picture of it with sean connery in the background.

Bathtime

Heidi loves to chew on her Turtle Book.
"Rubber Duckie your the one, you make bathtime so much fun"
Heidi loves bathtime even more now. She's discovering toys in the tub are fun! When I sit her up to clean her back she kicks and giggles to get the rubber duckies and turtles. It's so funny. When she's laying down while I'm washing her, she loves to play or chew on the big duckie. If it falls down and she can't get to it, she gets a little frustrated. I think she's finding her tub buddy. Today she actually got a little mad when I took her out of the tub. I think I might find a better tub for her sit up in and she can play better with out sliding into the water. She has so much energy and she's always on the move. When I put her to bed at night and then see her in the morning, she is on the other side of the crib facing the opposite way. She even moves all over in her dreams! I think she is going to be the handfull later but she's just so much fun and adorable.

Fun times over the weekend. :)

Playing in the mirror.
Heidi in her cute dress Pam got her. It was so nice and cool for her when it was near 90+ degrees over the weekend.

Heidi is always so still when I want to take a picture or video of her. I think she takes after her aunt stacy when she was young. Heidi is a little camera shy. This video is when I caught her talking a little more than normal and I had to sneak up behind her to video her, then I was caught.

We were all tired!
